Research Project Description:
Background: Patients admitted to inpatient medicine services sometimes have to be upgraded to intermediate care or intensive care in the first 24 hours
Methods: This project will involve chart review of cases and reasons for upgrade in level of care. The medical students will assist with chart review and categorizing factors.
Results: The results will be put into a poster and likely a publication and then a curriculum for the residents will be designed to address the main reasons for upgrade in level of care (ex-sepsis, unstable vital signs)
