This project is primarily:
Clinical

Research Project Description:
after IRB approval, we will assess various locations for PRP injection following arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and see if there are any changes in outcome based on location of injection. Planned location options are in the glenohumeral joint, underneath the repair at the tendon bone interface, and above the repair in the subacromial space. we will assess PROMs, range of motion, VAS pain, progress with therapy, retear of cuff, etc.

This project is primarily:
Clinical

Research Project Description:
after IRB approval, we will look at the effects of PRP vs PRP and HA combo injections following meniscal repair and degenerative knee arthroscopic procedures. We will assess pain scores, PROMs, rom, therapy progress, radiographic changes, and need for further surgery. This will likely generate 2-3 different scientific papers.

This project is primarily:
Clinical

Research Project Description:
after IRB approval, we will study knee osteoarthritis nonoperative outcomes on patients who receive one of three injections. Will compare the standard corticosteroid injection to PRP alone to PRP mixed with Hyaluronic acid. We will then follow patients at 3, 6, and 9 month intervals and assess pain outcomes, range of motion, radiographic findings, and any progression to surgery.

This project is primarily:
Basic

Research Project Description:
Similar to a study I performed last year, we will place various suture anchors made of different materials in a saw bones or cadaver model and then assess them with various imaging modalities (Xray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI). We will then write a technical report on which anchor materials are visible via each modality. Our last study was accepted to a radiology journal with major impact.
