Research Project Description:
Every medical student is required to master the anatomy of the human body. Regardless of their future specialty, an intimate knowledge of human anatomy is required to even be proficient within that field. Current pedagogical techniques include cadaver dissection in the wet lab as well as study the appropriate structures on computer dissector programs. These allow for adequate visualization and understanding of anatomy as they have been the cornerstone of anatomy education for many years. As new technologies are created around the world, educators are developing ways to use them to our advantage. Virtual Reality (VR) modules are particularly of interest to anatomists as they can open a myriad of opportunities to anatomists and students alike.
